Update: Solution: David Butler replies: "The new version of Internet Explorer does indeed install an updated QuickTime Plugin in the Library/Internet Plug-Ins. Update: Andy Schimming adds that this problem extends to iCab and possibly Fizzila 5/09. This appears to be the new version installed by Explorer. It is listed as version 5.0B, last modified on May 1. However, in our case, in the Library/Internet Plug-ins folder, there is a file called QuickTime ugin. Christian suggested that Explorer must have installed a new version of the QuickTime Plugin. We tried it and can confirm this is the case.
